About Sandstone Center for Neurofeedback

Sandstone Center for Neurofeedback provides a medication-free, nonmedical program to address chronic neurological conditions and behaviors, such as the symptoms of ADHD, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, brain injuries, PTSD, chronic pain, addiction, and more. Neurofeedback (also called Neuro Therapy) is a non-invasive process where brain waves are monitored in real time by a computer, which can then use that information to produce changes in brainwave activity. The process of adjusting brainwave activity is known as operant conditioning, which is a method where rewards for positive behavior increase learning capabilities. Neurofeedback does not specifically target any disorder. Instead, Neurofeedback changes timing and activation patterns in the brain. The goal is to slowly guide your brain back into normal, healthy ranges and reconnect neural pathways that have been disconnected. The result is an improvement in brain regulation, which in turn impacts a variety of symptoms.

By training the brain, patients can control their impulses, focus better on tasks, experience a more stable mood, become less irritable and control racing or unwanted thoughts. This powerful technology has helped eliminate and reduce chronic neurological conditions, allowing patients to function better, have fewer symptoms, and reduce or eliminate their reliance on medication. It’s important to note that Neurofeedback is not an instant process. It takes time and consistency in treatment for the brain to change and learn, however, given the success, it could be considered the most important tool available for mental and neurological health.

We are pleased to offer this groundbreaking approach incorporates state-of-the-art equipment with the expertise of our professionally trained staff.
